I’m glad you’re here.
My counseling style is centered around the counselor-client relationship and the unique bond that develops when you feel safe, respected, and heard. Through individual and group sessions, my focus is on healing and wellness through meaningful connections in life. I use a variety of proven approaches for positive mental health, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Existential Analysis, as well as Equine Assisted Learning (EAL). I have received training from the world-renown Center for Existential Analysis & Logotherapy as well as completing extensive training from EMDR Consulting.
In addition to more traditional treatment approaches, I sometimes use photography, drawing, writing, and other artistic outlets to explore feelings and develop coping strategies for dealing with stress and grief. Creative outlets like these benefit everyone, regardless of perceived artistic ability. I like to give assignments to keep you busy between sessions, providing an opportunity to explore your emotions on your own time, unlocking crucial coping skills.
My goal is to help you find your a-ha moments: those moments where things finally click and a path forward becomes evident. I want you to feel supported on your journey, developing a relationship that helps your life feel a lot less complicated.
